Personal Electronic Device Reminders

We understand that many students carry personal electronic devices and accessories such as cell phones, Apple watches, game systems, ear buds, and air pods. However, these items can often cause a disruption to the learning environment. Therefore, we are kindly reminding you that Gregory Middle School’s policy is that these devices and accessories must remain off and out of sight between the hours of 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM. The only exception to this rule is if students are using these devices and accessories with the permission and under the direct supervision of a teacher. Therefore, students are not permitted to use personal electronic devices during passing periods, lunch, or in locker rooms or restrooms. Students who wear Apple watches should practice self-management and use them only for the purpose of checking the time during the school day. Students who do not follow these guidelines are subject to consequences as defined in the Student Handbook.
