Friday, October 13 6-9pm

Join us on Friday, October 13 from 6pm - 9pm at GMS to watch the film Girl Rising.

GIRL RISING is a groundbreaking film, directed by Academy Award® nominee Richard Robbins, which tells the stories of 9 extraordinary girls from 9 countries, written by 9 celebrated writers and narrated by 9 renowned actresses. GIRL RISING showcases the strength of the human spirit and the power of education to change the world. Featuring Anne Hathaway, Cate Blanchett, Selena Gomez, Liam Neeson, Priyanka Chopra, Chloe Moretz, Freida Pinto, Salma Hayek, Meryl Streep, Alicia Keys, and Kerry Washington.

GMS students are encouraged to bring an adult with them to the movie. Girl Rising is rated PG-13 and is not recommended for young children. Food and concessions will be available to purchase before and during the presentation. Bring your own lawn chair/beach chair for comfortable seating. Folding chairs will also be available upon entry. A charitable donation of $2 per person will be accepted at the door with all proceeds going to the Girl Rising Impact Fund. More details about the evening and the film coming soon!
